"ANGELS BURN"
by Barritt Firth

ANGELS BURN

A Dystopian Paranormal Thriller
Picture
Picture
Mila’s friends really want her to believe. After the financial apocalypse, a dystopian Seattle is under martial law, and people are desperate. The White Light seems like an answer to so many prayers. Even Mila's best friends become Holy Followers, but the voice inside Mila whispers that these angels are not really angels. Mila, a poor Seattle college student, does not know who or what to believe, but she soon realizes that these new beings, the White Light, are hunting and killing people like her, people who have something quite different inside. “It” makes Mila faster and stronger and gifts her black wings. Mila wants what she’s never had, a normal life, where she fits in and has a chance at romance with Garrett. “It” suspects that Garrett has some secrets of his own. Mila has to fight and hide from the White Light, without exposing who she really is, and without succumbing to what “It” wants her to be, someone who cares enough to live, but doesn’t care enough to love or let live.
