Jake Elliot
Jake Elliot has been traditionally published 10-times, eight for short stories and two times for novels. He is an internationally published author, having recently appealed to a Canadian publishing house with a short story about madness and mayhem. A critically appreciated author, both his first two novels received 4 out of 5 stars with Portland Book Review, and 7 out of 10 stars with both Speculative Book Review and Fantasy Book Review.
Jake is married and instead of children they have a huge cat named Samson. He and his wife travel wherever and whenever they can, but Samson doesn't like to travel, so he bums a couch with friends or family. So far to date, Jake has been 830-feet below the Earth's surface just to learn what real darkness is, he's ridden a wild river through a dense jungle, and he was once terrorized all night by a desert mouse wanting a forgotten packet of Saltines tucked in his backpack. He and his wife narrowly escaped Hurricane Isabella as she pummeled Nicaragua in 2009, and in 2013 they enjoyed a double-shot of Bushmill's and a pint of Harps in Dublin while watching the Saint Paddy's Day Parade on television---as the parade rolled by a mere two blocks away. Twisted versions of all these events find their way into his stories. It might be why people like his tales. |
