Author Doug Beisley is a native of the state of Oregon. He was born and raised in St. Helens, Oregon. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Warner Pacific University, Doug has spent more than 25 years teaching music both at the elementary and secondary level. Doug also completed a master’s degree from Portland State University where he received a degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Doug and his wife Danette have been married for more than 35 years and currently reside in Salem, Oregon. They have three grown children. As a music teacher, Doug has created many songs, rhymes, and stories for his students to enjoy and learn from. Elephant’s Jungle Tune started as a sound story for his students. In the classroom, Doug enjoys using all of his classroom instruments to help tell this creative story. You will hear the sound of the bass drum as the elephant walks into the story. As each animal enters, the sound grows as more and more instruments are added. Children are delighted to be involved in the telling of Elephant’s Jungle Tune. |
