Homeless former science teacher Charlie Schwitters was attacked by 2 punks while on his way to set up camp in Forest Park. 2 zaps from a strange weapon immobilized the punks. Escorted by his rescuers to their camp deeper into Forest Park, Charlie learns that 3 of his rescuers are from the dead planet Baas who have been collecting plants for terraforming their new planet for millennia. They brought along 6 of the many humans they had adopted on each visit. Flummoxed by the sudden rise of human technology from their previous visit, the Baasians now need Charlie to rescue them. With their computer, he successfully hacks into a hidden bank account of Rev. Graves, the powerful televangelist whose devious politics ruined his life. With the money taken from ATMs, Charlie helps his new friends get much-needed supplies. But the strange injuries of the 2 punks catch the attention of 2 agents with ties to munitions manufacturer... and Rev. Graves.
